What's
Readiness?
Coping with life events, changes in your body,
we can be flexible and positive if we are with our own Readiness-lively movement in our body.
The way to respond should be a conscious choice rather than a preconceived choice.
That make you more happier and healthier.
Let's ready to move freely into your new possibilities.
-
FACIAL WORK
Most people distinguish between their face and their head or skull. But, anatomically, your eyes and nose and ears and cheekbones are just the front side of your skull. Turning the face into a mask that is somehow not part of our anatomical structure can create many problems - strained eyes, clenched jaws, poor breathing, and vocal restrictions. And, of course, once all our facial tension is gone, the face can freely express who we are and communication becomes easier.
-
WALK/
MOVEMENTMoving well helps us feel good and gives us energy. Walking is the quintessential movement for humans. Most people do not walk freely and naturally. But it is surprisingly easy to learn how to walk easily, comfortably, and powerfully. Once all the parts of the body know how to move in concert, life begins to feel lighter and more lively.
-
SENSES
Learn how to fully awaken all of your senses. The more receptive our senses become, the more perceptive we become. We begin to see the world, as it is, not as we think it is. We begin to sense ourselves too, how we are being in our bodies. Once all our senses are open, our senses that tell us how we are and our senses that tell us how the world is, we experience ourselves and our world freshly, with new eyes.

Alexander Technique would be a daily lesson and a life lesson. The Alexander Technique is an ingenious and enjoyable method that teaches you how to be at once stable and mobile, calm and awake, soft and strong, light and substantial. It teaches you how to redirect your unnecessary tension into useful energy. It teaches you how to be effortlessly and easily upright. It teaches you how to receive immense power from the environment.

A trip into my body
Each lesson is a trip into my body. I encounter my shoulders, arms, fingers, hips, legs, feet, neck, ears, eyes. Each encounter is a discovery. So much to learn about how my body - how I - function. At first, I forget most of it. Then, slowly I begin to remember: Subtle changes in my body. Subtle changes in my mind. Step by step. Wonderful.

Her Facial work is original
I love Midori! A generous, beautiful, gifted teacher! Such grace. I was very honored to teach her students, and to have learned from her too. Her facial work is original too.

She is a master of the face and the movement of normal life
She is a great teacher. Every time she came to Korea,,,, she shared wonderful times with us. She has a brilliant insight in teaching. She is a master of muscle anatomy, especially the face and the movement of normal life. If you want to use your body and mind efficiently, know how to lift up your face without surgery, and make movement without pain, you have to contact her.

Midori's hands are some of the best in the world!
I have had the pleasure and honor of being a student, a colleague, and a friend of Midori Shinkai for nearly 30 years. I have been hosting Midori as an international teacher in my training programs throughout the USA and Europe. Her teaching is clear, direct, and imaginative. She is profoundly ‘student-centered’, using her skill as a pedagogue to meet each individual student wherever they are, and provide exactly what they need to make their next discovery.
Among my favorite of Midori’s offerings, are her unique work with facials (like a manual face-lift); her ways of helping people of all ages and abilities with everyday movements, including walking, sitting, standing; and her work in helping people develop and deepen their sensory awareness, which has such a huge and direct impact on the quality of one’s life. I have also enjoyed and admired Midori’s ability to work with the whole person - not with some perceived issue or problem. She sees a person in their entirety, offering insights that allow a person to not only gain more skill and understanding around their questions, but also to see how it affects their life.
I would enthusiastically recommend getting in Midori’s hands - they are some of the best in the world!(Robyn Avalon, the Director of the Contemporary Alexander School/Alexander Alliance USA, and Co-Director of the Alexander Alliance EU)

Midori Shinkai is one of the stellar Alexander Technique teachers in the world. We met in 1988. She went on to study with me for 30 years. She was so obviously gifted, that she became the director of the Alexander Alliance in Japan and remains its director. She is also a linguist and English teacher, so if you do speak English and find yourself in Japan, don't miss studying with her.
